Voice Over Artist
Jonathan Cormur is comfortable with a range of acting challenges from Shakespeare to cartoon characters. Directors appreciate his ability to make quick and subtle changes to a performance or improvise when needed.
Jonathan is a director’s dream. He comes in with great ideas, embraces direction, and adds unexpected elements to his performance.
Elaine Clark, Director
Jonathan Cormur’s voice is friendly and authentic—he can play the nice guy, the nerd, the everyman and conjure up some of the quirkiest, offbeat, and lovable characters kids will adore.
Can you make more stories with the Big Bad Wolf? He’s funny. I listen like a million times.
Ella Grace, Fan
His first start was doing the in-park voice over for California’s Great America Theme Park shows and attractions. Six Flags, their parent company, chose his voice work as their Halloween Haunt Overlord for several other Six Flags properties across the US. Some of Jonathan’s other clients include 2K Games, Electronic Arts, America’s Test Kitchen, Oracle, Verizon, Ten Forward Films, San Francisco Airport, Audible, Creativity Inc. and Geek Club Books.
Jonathan has provided California’s Great America with an immense range of different voices and characters, quickly becoming our go-to guy for all voice over requirements. He always delivers exactly what is needed quickly and professionally. He is also extremely creative, often coming up with new and different ideas that often work better than we originally planned.
Thomas Tissot, Operations Supervisor
Jonathan learned his craft from some of the best working voice actors in the business—Bob Bergen, Mick Wingert, Cristina Milizia, Richard Horvitz, Elaine Clark, Holly Dorff, Collette Sunderman, Everett Oliver—to name a few. He never stops learning! He continues to study, practice and grow his skills as an acting talent. He’s currently working on his singing performance with Jared Gertner, a Broadway and West End musical theater actor.
FIRST ONE UP! “You’re not just one of us, are you?” Caught on audio, Jonathan is the first one to take on Bob Bergen’s master class challenge to create a character in minutes. Check out this backstory moment on How Does Jonathan Cormur Keep Growing as a Voice Actor?
