Hello and welcome! I’m the head writer and showrunner for Dorktales Storytime Podcast, as well as a freelance writer, producer, musician, and storyteller. For Dorktales, I oversee episode production, write and edit original stories, compose new music, and facilitate our world-building and story development efforts. I also offer freelance writing and story development support to creative collaborators.

The Dorktales podcast includes incredible true stories of Hidden Heroes of History, which I research, write, and produce. Each tale features new scenes with our fun-loving narrators who are inspired to learn about these once-hidden figures. For inventor Jerry Lawson, I wanted to bring a quest to life in honor of his game-changing contribution to the video game industry.

The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences selected my work for their inaugural Signal Awards, saying it represents “the very best of the podcasting industry.”
The Magical Doorway
One of my favorite things is to dive into world-building for each of my projects. I keep track of all the details from our original universe, and added a new genre to our programming – Lore Stories, which are short episodes that show different moments from the land of Once Upon a Time.

The Spellbinders
I am writing “The Spellbinders,” a special series for Wondery’s Stories Podcast. Alice and Octavia, the cat, are Spellbinders, who work for the literary protection society, Ever After. They are responsible for tracking down enchanted artifacts from fairy tales that find their way out into the world, causing unintended plot twists and magical mayhem.

Hedy Lamarr
Sparked by her background as a movie star and inventor, I added a radio play element to Hedy Lamarr’s story – incorporating vintage radio textures, 1940s-inspired advertisements, and even an original Andrews Sisters-style jingle. The episode was a fun and entertaining way to convey her story to young people, while layering in references for adult listeners.

Princess and the Pincushion
I collaborate with other writers, serving as a script editor, brainstorming new story ideas, and finding ways to incorporate our signature nerdy references and fandom moments for kids of all ages.

On the production side, I collaborate with guest actors, coordinate with our audio engineer, and direct episodes of the podcast. For Mary Had a Little Yes And, I worked with Jonathan Cormur and Eric O’Keefe, and helped set the stage for their improvised story.
